Bookends vs an End to Books

February5

There’s something very quaint and exciting about bookends. You can be as simple as using nothing or go all out with a very ornate design of something related to your interests or life. I’ve come across some very visually arresting styles. Makes me wonder who uses them and where? A few weeks ago there was a CS Monitor article (here) about the decline of printed books. No ones buying and no ones reading because most people don’t hold on to their books and don’t choose to collect books in their homes/spaces. Then there’s the Kindle phenomenon. Does that mean the end of the bookend? I hope not — some of these are really great.
